The troublesome Luchian branch has disappeared. Using a deep sea submarine, avoid underwater defences and collect buoys hidden in their bases. Utilising the signals of the buoys triangulate their position.
In this game players control the movement of a deep sea submarine. Each level is a puzzle to solve with static, moving and hidden mines to avoid. Players enter and execute movement commands in block sequences, with the goal of each level is to reach the buoy beacon. The game teaches the basics of computer programming.
This game is designed for young kids and for fans of the 39 Clues book series. The goal is to introduce new audiences to the 39 Clues brand and the Scholastic Homebase app.
We provided the following services:
As players progress through the games levels, new obstacles are introduced to make these later levels more difficult. As more mechanics are added, levels also become longer to complete, with doors separating these game areas. This makes a large level but keeps it in small pieces. As a result, the game is always fun to play and has a suitable level of difficulty for the target audience.
Based on the 39 Clues books and the brand, we created a fun educational game. We determine how well balanced levels are designed by a great deal of internal testing. With this process, we add just the right amount of new mechanics to keep players engaged over the levels. Players are kept entertained by slowly introducing new mechanics into a game. This provided the client with a game design that could provide a large number of puzzle levels, as required by the brief. This game provides significant content within the 39 Clues zone for the Homebase app.
Within the 39 Clues experience for the Homebase app, we developed three games. Initially, players in the 39 Clues zone must answer several questions from Will McIntyre. He then determines which branch of the Cahill family the player belongs to based on their answers.
After completing training, players participate in daily missions and challenges to collect the 39 Clues. Children will learn geography while playing the 39 clues games, each clue is hidden at a different location around the world. Within the Homebase app, players can customise their avatar by earning points and rewards.
