Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions, we have the answers

Here are some of the most common questions that we get asked from our customers

How big is your team?

We are a small team of six, yet we develop big games for large clients.

Additional specialty contractors covering pixel art, AI programming, and general resource support to our day-to-day internal resources are also available.

What's a typical cost for a game?

Typically, a simple game costs between $20 and 70K AUD (Australian Dollars). We have developed much larger games for our clients with budgets in excess of $1M+.

The simple answer is there is no set cost, it depends on how much time and resources it takes to develop your game, we will charge you no more or less than that.

What software/engine do you use?

Generally, we recommend using the Unity engine. When Unreal is a better choice, we use it. We also have a lightweight HTML5 game engine. Finally, for games that require native UI integration and services, we use Xamarin.

To put it simply, we use the right tool for the job.

Who owns the intellectual property rights?

All the code, art, design, and sources belongs to our customers. Our clients pay for our services and we made your game typically for a fixed fee, so you own your game 100% no questions asked.

Some elements of the game might be based on stock assets or serve as a starting point. In these cases, you will also receive the licences for these assets and any other third party content that we used for the creation of your game.

Do you have off the shelf games?

The answer is yes.

As we have been developing games for 10 years, we have a large catalogue of games. Whether you want a puzzle game or a racing game, we have something you can rebrand or use as a starting point to create your own game.

How long will it take to make my game?

This all depends on the size of the project and what it requires. The amount of time it takes to develop your game is most times limited by your budget and if not this by the time frame.

We are completely transparent about the amount of time it will take to develop your game. A majority of projects are finished within 3 months, larger projects can take up to 12 months, and very small games between 3-8 weeks.

Can you guarantee my game's success?

We would love to say that is always the case for all of our clients, sometimes it is hard to achieve.

We certainly offer as much insight and advice as possible so that you can find your way to success and make the necessary changes to your game if needed. This path is not always direct, but we will help you get there if that's what you want to achieve.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes we are covered by workplace and public liability to the sum of $20M AUD. For larger client projects we can provide a certificate of currency.

Additionally with larger projects, we also provide a contract in the form of a scope of works agreement, this also covers you legally to assure the professional delivery of your project.
