The campaign features the fastest man in the world Usain Bolt promoted on Snap Chat and Facebook. The game allows you to run at the speed of bolt on all mobile and desktop platforms. The player’s goal is to maintain your speed by collecting speed and building this up to unleash Bolt Speed for maximum points.

Mode Monster Plays Mobile

A fast social advertising game within a budget

We developed this simple game idea with the restrictions of a thin brief, a short time frame/budget for one of the worlds largest Media Agencies Amobee. The client wanted a game that focused on speed, even the game had to load fast, Mode provided not only the game development services but also the hosting services to ensure the games performance exceeded expectations. During the campaign the game had up to 20K unique plays per day to a total of 500K+ during the entire campaign localised to target market of Australia.

Attack Of The Oz Monsters

Combine weapons take down monsters

Attack of the Ozmonsters is a turn-based strategy fighting game set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The goal is to fight back against the Ozmonsters and ensure the survival of a small squad of characters. Each character has their own set of weapons and equipment so players must strategically select the best gear for their characters for each battle. The HQ is where players will be able to craft weapons from blueprints they collect throughout the game. Players can also communicate with the battle command computer to locate Ozmonsters and get tips for the battles to help them to win.

As players move through the levels defeating the Ozmonsters they will be rewarded with new weapons. These can then be combined to make new weapons that are more powerful and even more ridiculous. Take a gas canister gun and poison bombs and turn it into a fart launcher to stink your enemies to death. Start collecting exploding bombs and fribees and fuse them to make the Fris-Boom.

Players will face beasts from three different categories – there’s the downright ridiculous Ozmonsters like the burping Wom-bat, the horrid Ozmonsters like the horned Whino and then there’s the evil boss birds who control it all. As the game continues players will accumulate better weapons, extra armour and more power to help them wipe out the Ozmonsters and save the world to ultimately defeat King Kook. Each week players are invited to watch Disney XD every Friday from 6pm AEST to spot the weekly code word to unlock special weapon blueprints.

Pfizer VR Experiences

VR experiences within a sci-fi world

We worked with our friends at DDB to create a truly unique experience for the Pfizer one of the worlds largest Pharmaceutical companies. Pfizer wanted a totally new way to help explain a new product to their customers as a short experience. We quickly decided on creating a VR experience with Google Cardboard and using the best headset in the market place the Zeiss One.

Mode developed a sci-fi world and a droid character called CR1Z to help guide players through a short interactive experience. CR1Z delivered a story to the players and this allowed for many interactions with the player by audio. Pfizer is engaged with Mode and DDB to create further VR experiences into 2017.

Kinect Aspen Challenge

Can keep your balance in augmented reality

An Xbox Kinect game was developed with DDB to help Aspen promote their product at upcoming expos and conferences in 2015. The game was designed to reinforce the client’s key messages and get attention from passing delegates at each conference.

The game was built using the Xbox Kinect SDK and allowed up to 2 players to participate in a fun 3D game. Players could accurately control the movement of characters to interact with falling obstacles, collecting as many as possible in 60 seconds.

The result was successful for the client, getting up to 3 hours of continual play at each conference. The game allowed Aspen to start a dialogue with industry professionals they normally wouldn’t get the chance to speak with. We provided on site support in 2 major cities over 3 events in 2015, gaming equipment and the game software we developed to deliver this great result.

Drive A Vehicle Controller-less With Your Hands

To help promote a Lilly and Boeheim Ringer’s product at upcoming expos and conferences during 2015/2016, we developed an Xbox Kinect game in conjunction with DDB. The game was designed to reinforce the client’s key messages and get attention from passing delegates at the conferences.

The game was built using the Xbox Kinect SDK, allowing up to 3 players to compete. Challenged to fun 3D racing, the players controlled the direction of their vehicle by physically turning their arms; and acceleration, by pushing their arms outwards, controlling speed and boost. The players were pre-game challenged to a quick quiz, with the fastest player to answer winning a starting line assist. The goal of the game is to collect as many pickups as possible and get to the finish line first.

The result was successful, with the client getting up to 3+ hours of continual play over 2 days (playable only during session breaks) at the initial conference. The game was designed so that the client could start a casual dialogue with industry professionals they normally wouldn’t get the chance to speak with. We provided on site support, gaming equipment, surrounding panel and floor artwork, and the game software we developed to deliver this great result.

Mode Monster Arcade

Multiplayer Kinect controller

This project used the latest tech from Microsoft with Kinect v2. The Kinect can instantaneously detect and track up to 4 players, we developed a fun racing game  with gestures to help boost players to the finish line!
